Juan Manuel Paberolis

Juan has joined our firm as of 1^st March 2025 in our Buenos Aires office, as a staff surveyor.

After earning his degree in Naval Architecture from Universidad Nacional de Quilmes, Juan began his professional career as a Junior Naval Architect at an engineering firm in Buenos Aires, working on ship conversion projects and drafting plans for flag state approval. In parallel, he collaborated independently with private sector clients in Europe and contributed to naval defense projects for foreign governments, which eventually led him to the UK for the completion of a project.

Following his experience in the private sector at both National and International levels, he joined the Argentine Navy as a Naval Officer, serving as Lieutenant at Puerto Belgrano Naval Base, where he led shipyard projects and dry dock operations.

After his honourable voluntary discharge from the Navy in 2019, he continued his professional journey as an independent consultant, specializing in ship inspections, repair cost estimations, asset valuation, structural and stability analysis due to collisions, flood analysis, and On-Off Hire surveys. He also led National Defense projects and provided technical analyses for foreign military sectors.

From 2022 until early 2025, Juan worked at an IACS classification society, surveying and assessing ships and other marine structures during construction and while in service, ensuring compliance with applicable Class and Statutory standards.

With his extensive experience in marine inspections, ship repairs, naval construction, and project management within both industrial and defense sectors, Juan brings a well-rounded expertise to his field.
