Gustavo C. Oliva

Gustavo joined the firm in 2019 following a long and fruitful career as a Surveyor in Germanischer Lloyd and subsequently DNV-GL for more than 15 years.

He is carrying out all type of H&M casualty work as well as condition surveys for major H&M Underwriters and P&I Clubs in the Americas region.

Gustavo have a significant expertise in the surveying of all type of ships in service and at new construction stage, including an in-depth knowledge of class and statutory requirements. He is also an expert in the assessment of ship´s structure, equipment and outfitting in line with applicable/relevant international standards. He is applying widely this knowledge in carrying out condition / loss prevention surveys such as JH 2013/007A (Engine Room, Machinery and Bunker Fuel Risk Assessment), JH 2013/007C (Crew and Office Management Assessment).

Additionally, Gustavo have a strong expertise and experience in auditing safety management systems.
