Ramon Dos Santos Antunes

Ramon originally joined our team in Rio De Janeiro in 2017 and has moved to our Panama office since the beginning of 2021.

Since joining our firm, Ramon has carried out all type of marine casualty surveying works, working for major H&M Underwriters and P&I Clubs, in Brazil and countries within Latin America and the Caribbean region. He also carried out condition surveys on all type of ships for major H&M Underwriters and P&I Insurers, having achieved the certification as operator for Sherlog TA ultrasonic testing.

His expertise lies with the assessment of structural damages as well as investigation of machinery damages.

He has been dealing with various complex grounding casualty work, including an outperforming refloating of a stranded woodchip carrier in the Orinoco river by counter-balancing.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

• Designer and calcs expert for offshore structures, deployment and commissioning (4 years)
• Certified Operator for Ultrasonic hatch cover tightness testing with Class Type Approved Sherlog TA

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• MSc in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
