Ali joined the firm in January 2023.
Since then, he has been involved in casualty and marine warranty surveys of varying types acting for H&M Underwriters, as well as Loss Prevention surveys for P&I Clubs.
Having completed a 5-year term as oceangoing engineer on board General Cargo vessels & Bulk Carriers as 2nd Engineer, he was subsequently employed ashore as Superintendent Engineer (2 years) in a reputable Turkish shipping firm operating 12 general cargo vessels, before joining our surveyors’ team. As such, he possesses vast knowledge on main and auxiliary machinery operation, maintenance and repairs, as well as knowledge of local shipyards practices and tariffs for all kinds of repairs.
He is fluent in English.

- Technical Superintendent, Oras Shipping (2 years)
- Oceangoing Engineer – 2nd Engineer (5 years)
- Certified Operator for Ultrasonic hatch cover tightness testing
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- BSc in Marine Engineering from Piri Reis University, Istanbul, Turkey
