Ahmet has joined our Istanbul office in early 2026, having completed three years as an oceangoing engineer on board Container Carriers as a 3rd Engineer.
Following the completion of his theoretical training in Marine Engineering, he gained practical experience in the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of main and auxiliary machinery and other key marine equipment, as well as routine vessel maintenance and engineering operations.
His seagoing experience enabled him to develop a practical understanding of engine room operations, planned maintenance systems, safety procedures, and Class and statutory requirements, providing a strong foundation for his career as a Marine Surveyor.
Since onboarding with our company, Ahmet has already been involved in Casualty and JH Risk Assessment Condition Surveys, on various types of vessels acting on behalf of H&M Underwriters and P&I Clubs.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Oceangoing Watchkeeping Engineer (ARKAS & CMA CGM) – 3rd Engineer (2022-2025) – 3 years
- Certified Operator for Ultrasonic Hatch Cover Tightness Testing
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Engineering from Yildiz Technical University, Istanbul, Turkiye
