Georgios Kaimakis

Georgios joined our Piraeus operations in mid 2026.

He entered the marine surveying sector after several years of experience in ship repair project management. Throughout his career, he has been actively involved in all kinds of repairs both afloat and in drydock, vessels’ conversions, and technical supervision of a wide range of vessel types, from cargo ships to Mega yachts.

He possesses an in-depth knowledge of yard tariffs and repair costs in the major ship repair industry having been employed by Shipyards and independent repair contractors. His technical expertise in ship repair management, dry docking operations, project planning, quality control, and marine inspections, supported by his academic background in Naval Architecture, adds valuable knowledge to our Piraeus surveyor’s team.

His technical qualifications are complemented by hands-on involvement in ultrasonic thickness measurements, non-destructive testing, major main engine overhauls, ballast water treatment installations, and the supervision of major repair and conversion projects.

Since joining our company, Georgios has already been involved in various types of casualty and condition / Risk Assessment surveys acting on behalf of H&M Underwriters and P&I Clubs.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor Degree in Naval Architecture – University of West Attica.
