Yunus joined out Istanbul office in mid 2025

Having completed his education and training in Maritime Transportation and Management Engineering, he served as an oceangoing Navigation Officer in various types of vessels, mostly oil and chemical tankers, reaching the rank of Second Officer. During his sea service, he acquired adequate practical experience in navigational, cargo and vessels’ operations aspects, along with thorough understanding of COLREG, ISGOTT and SMS procedures and requirements.

Hence, he brings sea going knowledge on a variety of vessel operations, deck machinery maintenance procedures combined with profound comprehension concerning the substantive incorporation of regulatory requirements to vessel’s safety culture and daily routine.

Subsequent to joining our Istanbul team, Yunus has undertaken JH Risk Assessment Condition surveys on behalf of H&M Underwriters and P&I Clubs, having also been involved in a variety of casualties and damage repairs on various types of vessels.

• Seagoing Safety / Navigation Officer – 4 years
• COC for Class Ins. Ltd. Cargo-Safe Ultrasonic Water Integrity Tester
• Alfa Laval Pure Ballast Technical Training Certificate
• Occupational Health and Safety Certificate

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• BSc in Maritime Transportation and Management from Turgut Kıran Faculty of Maritime, Turkiye
• Maritime Transportation and Management University of Split, Maritime Faculty, Croatia
