Konstandinos joined the firm in early 2024. He is a Marine Engineer, who graduated with a BSc in Marine Engineering from the Hellenic Naval Academy.

Subsequently he joined the Hellenic Navy and having completed five (5) years serving on board the multipurpose Frigate of MEKO 200HN design, as a 3rd Engineer Officer, he earned a scholarship from HN and was relocated to USA, where he enrolled on a 3-year Naval Engineering course in MIT. On completion, he was awarded the American Society of Naval Engineers’ (ASNE) Brand Award, winning the SNAME Graduate Honor Prize for his thesis.

Since his return to the Hellenic Navy in 2013, he continued his employment under the Chief Engineer’s rank for the next three (3) years, organizing and overseeing his vessel’s Drydocking, and major overhaul of Main Engines (WARTSILA WN25 16V), together with all auxiliary machinery, managing the repair budgets.

Subsequently and for the remainder of his HN employment for the next nine (9) years he assumed the position of the HN Technical Division Department Head, serving in both Salamis and Souda Naval bases where amongst other high level responsibilities, he managed and executed numerous drydocking intervals of all types of Naval vessels to include submarines and high technology challenges successfully, until he moved to the private sector in early 2024, electing to join our firm for pursuing a Surveyor’s career.

Since joining, he is attending and reporting upon a variety of H&M casualties of all types as well as Condition / Risk Assessment surveys, becoming an integral member of our Piraeus office team, as highly qualified Surveyor, possessing in depth knowledge on all engineering and machinery aspects.

He is fluent in English.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Hellenic Navy – Serving on board Naval vessels as an Engineer Officer reaching the rank of Chief Engineer: 2005 to 2010 & 2013 to 2016 – Eight (8) years
  • Hellenic Navy – Head of Technical Division (Salamis & Souda Naval bases): 2016 to 2014 – Nine (9) years
  • US Navy – MIT (under scholarship): 2010 to 2013 – Three (3) Years
