Evdemon & Partners is a leading independent Marine Technical Consultancy firm, established since 1975 in Piraeus, Greece, carrying out H&M damage surveys and casualty investigation, P&I surveys and risk assessment surveys on a 24/7 worldwide basis.
We provide our services upon direct instructions by the majority of worldwide insurance markets such as London, Nordic, French, German, P&I Clubs, Solicitors, Average Adjusters, Banks/Mortgagees, Flag States and on occasion Shipping Companies.
Our Piraeus head office in Greece serves as the hub of our operations, providing support to our office network at all times. From the early 2000s onwards, with cautious and solid steps, we developed a network of owned offices in Europe, Asia and the Americas, namely Gibraltar, Constanza, Istanbul, Shanghai, Singapore, Buenos Aires, Asuncion, Rio De Janeiro, Panama and Ghana.
Our offices around the globe, strategically located in key geographical areas and major repair zones of the three continents, enable us to respond swiftly and efficiently follow-up any marine casualty worldwide until completion of repairs.
Our team of highly qualified Marine Engineers and Naval Architects combine profound technical expertise with substantial practical experience (seagoing and ship repair). Having been involved in all types of serious and high-profile cases, our Surveyors are able to accurately assess the casualty circumstances, carry out in-depth investigation and also timely report to our Principals. Our Surveyors are available on a 24/7 basis to survey ships in peril, provide expert advice and cost-effective solutions.

EVDEMON & ASSOCIATES
Tony Evdemon founds “Evdemon & Associates” 45 years ago with premises in the heart of Piraeus maritime district, establishing one of the first independent Marine Technical Consultancy firms of the greater Southeastern Mediterranean region.
1977
THE LONDON SALVAGE
ASSOCIATION
The London Salvage Association endorses approval of the firm as non-exclusive surveyors. For the following 20 years, until SA’s initial buy-out by BMT, the company provides services, under the SA umbrella, to the leading London and worldwide Underwriters for all kind of casualty and warranty surveys. Simultaneously, the company provides expert services in large General Average casualties worldwide.
1981
NEW PIRAEUS PREMISES
The firm grows, moves to its current location of 200 sqm offices and employs a total of five Marine Surveyors of superior academic qualifications and seagoing experience.
1997
EVDEMON & PARTNERS
Dimitris Kardiakopoulos becomes a Partner and the company is renamed to “Evdemon & Partners”. Foreseeing the shifting trends in the Lloyd’s Market, the company focuses on exclusively providing its services on direct instructions by leading H&M Underwriters and P&I Clubs.

CONSTANTA OFFICE
The first step abroad is made by opening an office in Constanta, Romania, providing services in the major Romanian and Bulgarian ports (on occasion ports in Russia & Ukraine) as well as regional Balkan ports in the Adriatic Sea.
2006
ISTANBUL OFFICE
After solidifying the firm’s status in the Lloyds Market and given the growth of the ship repair facilities in Tuzla, the decision was made for establishing our presence in Istanbul in partnership with Cem Ertem, ex-Director of Bureau Veritas (Istanbul). This successful move proved to be the beginning of our global network creation.
2010
SHANGHAI OFFICE
Our Shanghai office starts operating in the largest ship-repair and ship-building center of the world. The firm’s 3rd office abroad is created as a result of the growing demand to provide our services in Asia.
2011
BUENOS AIRES OFFICE
In partnership with Martin Rivero, ex- Senior Surveyor of Lloyd’s Registrar (LR), our office network expands in South America, with Buenos Aires becoming the hub of our operations in the continent, serving all H&M Underwriting and P&I Markets.
2012
NEW PARTNER
Nikos Drikos, a member of our team for the last 10 years, becomes a Partner in our firm as of 1st January 2012.
2016
RIO DE JANEIRO OFFICE
Our presence in South American expands to Brazil with the opening of our Rio De Janeiro office, under the management of Martin Rivero.
2016
VHT AVERAGE AGENTS
Our firm gets endorsed as VHT Average Agents and has since been involved in a number of casualty surveys on behalf of the German H&M Underwriters.

GIBRALTAR OFFICE
Our Gibraltar office is established, in partnership with Matthew Byrne. Our presence in Gibraltar enhances our capacity to provide services in a much broader geographical region including Spain, Portugal, Canary Islands, Western Mediterranean, North and West Africa.

ASUNCION
Due to the growing demand of our Principals for quality surveying services on major brown water fleets involved in commodities transportation in the Parana River, an office in Asuncion is established.
2020
PANAMA
Panama has been chosen as our next step expansion in the Americas, covering Central American and most importantly the Caribbean Sea ports.

SINGAPORE REP-OFFICE
Τhe latest addition to our global network of offices, Evdemon & Partners Rep-Office in Singapore, headed by our fellow Senior Surveyor Han JK, is created, serving the South-East Asia region.
2021
GHANA
Our first office in the African continent, in Ghana, is established with the aspiration to serve our Principals’ needs in the greater West African and sub-Saharan region.
2024
MEXICO OFFICE
The Mexico office marks the latest expansion of our presence in the Americas and particularly in the Gulf of Mexico led by our Principal Surveyor and Senior Partner Martin Rivero.

LAS PALMAS OFFICE
The Las Palmas office constitutes a further expansion of our Gibraltar office, led by our Senior Surveyor and Partner Matthew Byrne.
